Corvette TKR was a star!

Had a delightful call from a client, who purchased a young horse from me that I bred, started and trained a bit. She is in Northern Virginia and rode
Corvette TKR (Coromino-Dranabel x Believe The Queen) in a dressage clinic over the weekend. The clinician is the dressage trainer for the
Swedish event team and flies in once a year for a clinic. He raved about Corvette, called him a "great" horse, loved his mind and his gaits. Apparently,
the weather wasn't great and many were misbehaving and Corvette was a very good boy. I am very fortunate that Melinda and Corvette are such a
good match and she stays in touch. She's excited about showing him this year, too. I am just starting a 3 year old that is closely related to Corvette and
has that same good mind and fluid gaits -- he is for sale! Anyway, it was a thrill to hear from her, just thought I'd share some good news.
Cheers,
PennyG

Ok, ok, it was only a schooling show, but- Tony was a star. It was his second show ever and he won T1 (13 in the class) and scored an 8 for gaits. As important, he handled it like a pro. Trailered in, tied to the trailer, calmly eating. What a good boy; I'm so proud of him.

It's been a long time and I have missed all of the information that was posted here! I'll be breeding at least one of my mares to Diamond Hit again. I have been very impressed with what he is producing. My gov mare produced a lovely filly and colt by DH. Both the Diamond Hit filly and her dam won the 2009 region 2 USDF grand championships. It was their only show of the year, so they both had to qualify too. I am also looking at breeding to Diamond Hits sire, Don Shufro. We are sticking with proven stallions that can compete at PSG and above, and are known producers. Of course, when the price drops, Totalis is on my watch list. I'm hoping he will be GOV approved by then. He is definately a competitor but we shall see what he produces.
