Offered for sale: 2003, 16.0hh, Grey, Westphalian, Mare
Bloodlines: Cornet Obolensky x Pilot x Aarstein
Cornetta was imported late in 2007. Lightly shown in 2008 and the spring of 2009, before I decided to breed her. She caught on the first dose of frozen (Wittinger VDL) and had a non-eventful pregnancy/delivery, resulting in a stunning colt (Finnan) this past May.
Both Cora and Finnan were presented to the KWPN-NA keuring jury. Finnan was awarded a first premium and was placed 5th in the KWPN-NA Top Five. Cora was awarded a second premium and declarded studbook eligible. She toes out in front which kept her conformation score to 65, she did however impress the judges with a score of 80 with her freejumping!
I had planned on bringing her back into work this winter before deciding whether to breed her again or continue on with her sports career. Unfortunately a pasture accident after weaning resulted in a fractured splint on her right hind leg. It is healing extremely well without surgery, and she has bee given the green light from the vet to begin a fitness/turnout regim that should see her back undersaddle sometime in February.
If she is not sold before the spring, my plan is to bred her to Capi and keep her in light training.
