Where should we be going with our breed? Is anyone attemping to bring back the almost lost "G" line? Should we? Have we put too much emphasis on Sandro Hit and the few other ubermovers? Have we begun to breed the rideability out of our horses? Etc.
I for one am missing the older-fashioned Hanoverians. You know, the ones that looked like warmbloods instead of heavy TBs. The ones with the calm, unflappable temperaments and the heavy, but steady rhythmical gaits. I am seeing now too many Hanoverians that are not suitable in temperament and gait for the average amateur to ride. And we don't have enough professionals to ride these horses.
