We need to downsize our operation for a few years, which unfortunately leaves the ponies needing a home. These are quality ponies priced below their value due to our limited time.
1. Northern-Cross Victor (West Abbey Rocket/Snow Pony Pioneer): 2003 bay roan section B stallion standing 13hh. Very easy to handle. Does not bite, kick, rear, strike, etc. Has mostly done pasture breeding while we've had him, but will breed in hand. Was shown on the line as a 2 and 3 year old and won 3rd place at the Royal Winter Fair in Toronto in the 3 & older stallion class while showing against mature stallions. He has bred mares for us that have been as small as 10.2hh and as large as 15.2hh. He can reach most mares at 15.2hh, but we did just have a percheron/QH mare in that we had to "lower" for him. :) Throws lovely correct foals no matter what he's bred to. No known chestnuts to date. Perfect if you want a little colour.
2. Alderdale Julie (Alderdale Skyhawk/Ardmore Winaway): 2001 dark chestnut with flaxen mane & tail section A mare standing 11.2hh. Julie had 3 months training over the winter but has just been standing around in the field since as we don't have a rider for her. She was going a very solid walk/trot under tack and with just a halter and lead rope. Pretty mare that would do well with consistent handling. No show record that we're aware of, but we've only had her for a couple of years. She gave us a lovely bay filly by Victor last October and was rebred to him this spring for a April 2012 foal. Pregnancy has not been confirmed by a vet, but we have not seen another heat cycle.
3. Bothwell Manor Minuet (Riverwelsh Renaisance/Westrum's Morocco): 2005 palomino roan section B mare standing ~11.2hh. Barbie also received 3 months training over the winter, but did not progress as well as Julie. When we purchased her a year and a half ago she had had very little handling. She is slowly coming around despite little attention on our part and would need more time and handling from an experienced horse person before she could be a good riding pony. She is however, an excellent little broodmare and gave us a stunning buckskin filly by Victor this past March. She was rebred for an April 2012 foal. Again pregnancy was not confirmed by a vet, but no heat cycle has been apparent.
Victor pasture bred the above mares and has been with them as much as we can allow. Limited only due to the 2 Hanoverians we have on our property. A yearling filly we don't want bred, and a 2 year old gelding Victor's not too fond of.
4. CSF Princess Myah (Northern-Cross Victor/Alderdale Skyhawk): 2010 bay section B filly out of our mare Julie. Myah is a lovely little girl that should mature around 12.1hh. She was handled after she was born, but hasn't had a whole lot since. She has had her feet trimmed a couple of times and has been very good all considered. She will make a lovely little show pony. Registration is pending.
5. CSF Princess J. Kinders (Northern-Cross Victor/Riverwelsh Renaisance): 2011 buckskin roan section B filly out of our mare Barbie. Claire was well handled when she was first born, but hasn't had anything all summer. She is a stunning little filly with looks and movement. She should mature about 12.1hh. Claire also has the distinction of being named by my son's Junior Kindergarten class. :) Registration is pending.
All ponies are or will be registered with the Welsh Pony & Cob Socitey of Canada. Ideally we'd like to sell them altogether, but we will separate them for serious buyers. $5500 cdn plus hst (if applicable) is all we're asking for all 5 ponies and we're open to serious offers. We would also seriously consider an even trade for a quality jumper bred Hanoverian filly or young approved mare. Must be registered/branded with the Verband (including CDN breds) or AHS. We will not consider mares/fillies that are not eligible for studbook approval.
