Posts: 2 (07/08/10 00:54:37) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	The OHBS-GOV has been only microchipping for many years now in North America because of the legal issue already mentioned. They do not want to develop a separate brand, because it would be even more confusing since the original brand is still being used on horses bred in Germany. Many of these horses are then imported with that brand and are still registered with the OHBS-GOV. It's an unfortunate situation. However, the other point of information is that the German FN is considering halting all branding of horses and going to microchipping exclusively. So it is possible that in the future branding will be a thing of the past entirely. That's very much up in the air for now.
